When trying to invite someone else to join a world, a screen sayin "unable to connect" appears.

When trying to invite someone to a world.  The invited friend cannot join. A window appears saying: Unable to connect". I have tried to invite, to join, to change platforms to see if thats the problem, but results in the same message.
