my game keeps creating versions of my game that are not playable

For whatever reason I had a lot of trouble yesterday getting the minecraft menu screen to pop up. I would start the software and then the menu screen would not appear, but the music was playing and the background screen was spinning as it usually does. I tried to open minecraft through my account on my brothers Xbox one and it loaded fine, however, when I went to my worlds, the current world I was playing in had turned into a grey screen and it wouldnt allow me to access it. This appeared to happen to most of my other worlds as well and worlds that i had deleted came back and appeared playable. I do not know why this has occurred but I hope the problem can be fixed because I had made a lot of progress in the current world I was playing in.
