Texture not activated

I tried to play Minecraft without being connected to Wi-Fi, and I activated the "Squishy Pixels Resourse Pack" texture, however when entering the world, the texture was not activated, remaining in the default texture. I do not think it is right that I bought the texture and could not take advantage of it simply because I am not connected to the internet.
