is there no end portal?

So, I went to the end portal to clear the game normally, but arriving at the fortress it is tiny and I do not find the end portal to go to the other dimension at all. I broke everything to try to find the portal but I don't think at all, I tried everything to see if it is somewhere but nothing. So I'm assuming that this seed I'm playing doesn't have the end portal? I even created another world with the same seed to see if the portal appeared or continued the same thing, but nothing.
