Items disappearing from chests in multiplayer.

I was playing multiplayer with my friend, who has a Android Nextbook 8. We both had iron armor on, we took it off and placed it into a chest at the same time. I looked into the chest again, and one pair of leggings was missing. Neither one of us had it in our inventory either.
