Inventory dissapearing

Since the last update, anything in the bottom half of double chests (not single ones) disappears when you log out. This is extremely annoying, as I have double chests full in other worlds and now can't play them, because I'll lose all my stuff. I've lost lots of hard earned stuff in this current new world, including diamonds and obsidian, both hard to mine, one because of rarity and the other takes ages to break. This issue needs sorting urgently please.
