killing elder guardian crashes the game

Im not sure if this is specific to the rtx beta but as the title says every time I kill the elder guardian in an ocean monument (with or without an rtx conversion pack enabled) the game crashes to desktop.

I haven't had this problem with any other mob I've killed so far in the beta. I have re launched the game and tried with the same result multiple times
