Not all tools show up when I want to craft

When I go to make a stone tool in a new survival world it doesnt show the crafting recipe that I can make it even tho I've got all the items only shows it for the wooden tools and when I went into the weapons tab I should see all tools since I got sticks (some of them would be red) but I can only see wooden ones
