Stuck in Minecraft Windows 10 beta

I enrolled in the Minecraft Windows 10 beta last weekend. I was unable to leave the beta. I communicated with Mojang support and Xbox support and was still unable to leave. It was a local problem as I installed Minecraft on a VM and there was no problem. If I enrolled in the beta in a VM I was also stuck in it. Eventually I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 10 and it was fixed.
