Cakes Disappearing in Minecraft Bedrock edition on Pocket Addition

When crafting cakes in Minecraft, there are times where I follow the crafting recipe for the cake, and once I click on the finished product on the crafting screen, and in that small grey square, it uses my materials, and yet I get no finished cake. Please help! My cakes are going missing!!
