Mcpe crashing when trying to join my worlds or my friend

When i try to join me or my friends world it shows a loading symbol and then it crashes. I've shut off the device, turned the wifi on and off, and it still doesn't work. I don't want to delete minecraft because i have a world that i really like. Any solution?
