Save file size on switch crashes game

The save file for minecraft on switch gets very, very big. After reaching a certain size, 2gb, the game will not load properly any longer. It takes hours or even crashes. Multiplayer is impossible.

There is no way to shrink the save file. Deleting worlds does nothing.

I created a guest account and generated a new world, placed 2 blocks and left. This created a new 550 mb save on my switch!

This was reported before. Nothing happened. Then the bug got marked as resolved. Clearly it is not.
