My dogs stood up when I didn't click on them

So I had my dogs sit in one spot of my base and didn't make them stand up since I didn't want them to die. However, I was climbing up a ladder when 4 out of 5 of the dogs teleported to me and died. I never told them to stand up. My sibling was playing a few minutes earlier.
