iOS update 1.16.50 cannot connect to Bedrock Dedicated Server

Despite that the iOS update 1.16.50 is supposed to be backwards compatible with versions greater than or equal to 1.16.20, it cannot connect to Bedrock Dedicated Server version 1.16.40. I originally created this issue in the Bedrock Dedicated Server project and was directed to raise the issue here instead.
