Crashing when sleeping

I have experienced a few crashes recently right clicking to sleep. I now have elytra so I fly into my base at dusk and I think maybe its to fast for it to load or something. I am concerned I might loose my stuff if it crashes too many times or worse have the world be corrupted which would be a disaster and would probably lead me to stop playing as Ive spent many years on current world. I have been playing Minecraft for over 10 years and getting back into it after a busy part of my life. 

To summarise, my only concern is the infrequent crashing of the game when trying to sleep in a bed. happens once every few hours. When I reload the game its morning so it seems to sleep but causes the game to crash. Not sure if that helps.
