critical hits crash the game

what i expected to happen was...
i kill the mob with critical hts with no problem

what actually happened is...
the particles wont stop showing and when i kill the mob, the game crashes.

steps to reproduce
1.do critical hits
2.if the c.h. particles won't stop, kill the mob.
