Unable to connect to world?

I wanted to play on my minecraft world, but one day it just said; unable to connect to world. I exported the file, deleted minecraft, reloaded it and it still said the same. The only explanation I can think of is that before it happened I set the maximum player limit to 1. I created the world in the minecraft 1.16 release, and it occured quite a while ago.
