Locked in Adventure mode

As I check setting of the survival world I had been playing it says survival and when I log into the world it says personal game mode is adventure mode and greyed out so I cannot change it. This all started after it made me convert the world for some reason I don't remember after an update and now it won't let me do anything in the world...
