cursor misaligned on multi display system

my system has a 4k main display and a 1080p secondary display

since setting up the second monitor the in game cursor has been misaligned when i launch the game in fullscreen.

toggling the fullscreen option off then on fixes it, but the problem resets itself evey time i launch minecraft.

also, the cursor is only misaligned once ive entered a world and not in the title screen.
