never respawns to last sleeping bed

When I die, I always respawn back to my original game spawn starting point. I have only 1x ever responded back to the last bed I slept in, and that was a few days ago. How nice it was not to have to race against time to get back to where I died and collect all my stuff!

I did find this bug in the posts but it was from over a year ago and nothing was ever said about it. Just wondering if this is indeed a bug, if it can be fixed or if it is just a thing that I have to deal with.
