skin pack skin won't save and stay my selected skin

I bought a skin pack and every time I load minecraft on my xbox the skin will default to steve. it won't save it and then I have to go in and change it every single time. If I use a normal skin it will stay but any skin pack I buy it will not save it and keep it on until I go in and manually do it
