Long loading times and freezing

Launching the Minecraft PS4 game, takes you to the loading screen where it stays loading for about 10 minutes. Once finished loading the hot fix pop up comes up and than stays there and the game freezes. Closing the application does nothing, don’t really want to delete it and lose my progress
