When joining into a world you had previously had been logged out of due to being out if the app, your entire inventory and armor will be gone, as if you had died.

When joining a world, your inventory will be completely destroyed as if you had died. (I had not died, and had just loaded up the world after about 5 minutes of being out of the app. App was still in the background.)
