block-aware teleport fails at positive chunk boundaries

Partner Rank:

2

Partner Team Reporting:

Everbloom Studios

Verification builds:

1.14.0.5

Summary:

A block-aware teleport command fails at positive chunk boundaries, claiming the area is not loaded.

Impact:

We cannot use the block-aware teleport with relative or local coordinates reliably.

Repro Steps:

  1. Open a world, preferably with a Release build.
  2. Turn on the chunk view with F3+M.
  3. Point at a chunk boundary, on the negative side of the boundary but close enough to where your player would intersect the positive chunk of the boundary (no more than 0.3 blocks away).
  4. Use the /tp command and autocomplete the coordinates to where you're looking. Set the last argument to 'true'.
  5. Run the command.

Observed Results:

The command fails with an error Unable to teleport <Player> to the unloaded area at <coordinates>

Expected Results:

The command should succeed and you should be teleported.
