1.12.1 (dev) is auto-installing to the 1.13 (retail) update on every reboot of Windows 10. Only solution is a full backup of content, uninstall and re-install of dev build.
Verification builds: 1.12.1 (2900603 - Release)
Summary: When Windows 10 reboots, Minecraft 1.12.1 self-updates to 1.13 via the Microsoft Store.... even when the Microsoft store explicitly has auto-updates turned off. This overwrites the dev build with a retail version of Minecraft.
Impact: The dev build is overwritten by a retail copy of the game. Forcing us to backup our worlds, resource packs, and behavior packs... uninstalling Minecraft, then re-installing the dev build. This is quite distracting when we have to do this every time we boot into Windows.
Repro Steps:
- Install 1.12.1 on Windows 10
- Reboot
- Notice that it is now on 1.13
Observed Results: The client is updating when it shouldn't be.
Expected Results: The client should not be self-updating to a retail build of Minecraft.
