resourcepacks don't support pngs exported from photoshop

Summary:
If you create a texture in the latest version of Photoshop and export it into a resource pack, it will show up as a missing texture. You have to duplicate the file you exported and delete the original to make it work.
Impact:
Currently, 8 of our members make frequent use of Photoshop, it's our go-to for texture editing. It slows us down, especially when one forgets that they just need to duplicate the texture. Sometimes they end up spending over an hour trying to figure out what went wrong, assuming it was one of the JSON files and not the PNG itself.
Repro Steps:
- Download the resource-pack
- Create a white 16x16 texture in Photoshop 20.0.7 (pretty sure it's broken in any version of Photoshop but it's the only one I tested)
- export the texture with "file" -> "export" -> "quick export as PNG" / export as" to textures/blocks/stone.png (or anything else)
- Observe broken texture in a world with the pack applied
- duplicate the texture in your file browser
- delete the original texture
- rename the duplicate to stone.png (or anything else)
- Observe working texture in a world with the pack applied
Observed Results:
The texture exported from PS is broken until duplicated.
Expected Results:
The texture should just work after being exported from PS
