Summary:
Entities with the circle_around_anchor behavior don't move if there's a block very close to their hitbox, even if that entity has collisions disabled.
Impact:
Under certain circumstances, our flying mobs stop moving entirely, affecting the pace of the game.
Repro Steps:
- Create and join the provided world. Find the button labeled
MCM-847 - Press it and observe the white cube. Watch it fly around.
- Set the lever beside it to enabled (down) to set a block next to the entity's starting position.
- Press the button again and observe the behavior of the cube when set behavior circle shows up in chat.
- Break the stone block or turn the lever again
Observed Results:
The entity will refuse to take off while the stone block is present. When the stone block is removed, it starts flying.
Expected Results:
The entity will start flying as soon as set behavior circle shows up in chat.
