Summary:
Ender Dragon quest in Papercraft Adventure is broken. When the ender dragon is spawned, it is in a different position and the collision box has changed and it's unable to be clicked on in adventure mode. Even in creative, the hitbox seems to be misaligned.
Impact:
Papercraft Adventure is a popular piece of content, this bug prevents one of the showpiece stars from being obtained breaking progression in the story and making it unable to complete. It is not something I would be able to update since the villagers are stuck as the V1 villagers due to villager behavior changing in V2 with reduced functionality with trading.
Repro Steps:
- Open Papercraft Adventure from the Marketplace
- go in creative mode and teleport to -55 124 227
- Place a redstone torch on the 4 towers on top of the redstone blocks
- This will summon an ender dragon on the top of the castle
- Fly up to the ender dragon
- interact with it using diamonds
Observed Results:
When the ender dragon is spawned, its position is incorrect. In addition, it seems as though its hitbox is smaller/moved as a result and makes it impossible to click it with diamonds while in adventure mode as you cannot get close enough. It also appears to be scaled smaller than it was before.
Expected Results:
The dragon should be summoned in the correct position. In addition, its hitbox should remain the same and its scaling should be the same.
