1.13.0.5 (Can't know for sure if this occurs in 1.13.0.10 because of MCM-804)
*Summary:*
Resource packs that override the player's look do not show the modified player models/textures/animations after being loaded a first time.
(Using the example pack from Slack as a reference)
The custom player look will be shown the first time the world is played after the resource pack is added. Opening the same world again will show the default player, even without changes to the resource packs.
*Impact:*
We are unable to reliably develop resource packs that override the player, something we were able to do for a few builds now.
*Repro Steps:*
- Create and join the provided world. The world has the example pack from #partner-announcements in Slack. Look at the player model.
- Close the world and open it again. Look at the player model now.
*Observed Results:*
On the first view of the player, the player looks like a penguin (as it should), with its respective animations. On the second and later views of the player, it looks like the vanilla character (Alex/Steve/Whatever skin you have on), with its respective animations. The default player look persists even after restarting the game.
*Expected Results:*
The player should look like a penguin, with its respective animations, every time the world is loaded, not just the first.
