[BLOCKING MINECRAFT] You can't throw items, or pick up items...

Verification builds: Release 853103
Summary: In a vanilla survival world you cant throw items on the ground, nor can you break a block and pick it up. Even with tiledrops set to true.

Repro Steps:
1. open a vanilla world
2. punch a tree

Observed Results: the log doesn't drop when you break the log, if you have items in your inventory, you cant throw them

Expected Results: it should break and you should be able to collect it because this is minecraft

Notes: tested a second time and was unable to reproduce. I suspect something intermittent, I'm glad I took video of it!
