Summary:
If a player enters the pause screen and the server simulation pauses during a camera ease
Impact:
Players may enter the pause screen during a cutscene, or camera ease during gameplay and get an invalid packet error.
Repro Steps:
- Download Avatar: Rites of Passage
- Follow the golden path, collecting a knife, harvesting a fruit, climbing the vine
- Enter the cutscene by walking
- Enter the pause screen during any camera motion
- When it appears the camera ease is complete click resume
- Observe assertions & packet error
- Disable treatment flag
- Repeat 1-5
- Observe no errors
Observed Results:
Upon returning to the game assertions occur. After clearing the assertions the gameplay session is ended with a server sent invalid packet error.
Expected Results:
- Resuming server simulation does not cause packet errors
- The cutscene continues to play after resuming the game
