Summary:

Players are unable to use More Custom Blocks Add-On on Realms

 

Impact:

Disappointed players, more negative feedback, less sales, more time required from me for customer support.

 

Repro Steps:

1. step. Buy More Custom Blocks Add-On on Minecraft Marketplace;
2. step. Activate and add it to your Realms world (or create a new world);
3. step. Attempt to join realm.

 

Observed Results:

Unable to join Realm. Error message is shown - "Failed attempting to join realm. Please try again later."

 

Expected Results:

Player can join realm and use the Add-On.

Notes:

For testing purposes, I downloaded Add-On files from Auger. Only changed UUIDs and put BP and RP in respective (BP and RP) Minecraft Bedrock folders. Once manually uploaded on Realms Add-On works fine. This leads me to believe the issue originates somewhere in the process of applying the Add-On (BP and/or RP folder) to the players' realm.

Don't know how many players are affected (have received 30+ player reports) but the issue was also confirmed by two Partners (fail rate 100%).
