Add-Ons from the Marketplace delete Development Folder Packs if UUIDs match
Verification Builds: Minecraft 1.20.73, Windows 10 **
Regression Builds: Minecraft 1.20.60, Windows 10 **
SPECIAL NOTE: This issue was not reproduceable in older versions/builds because Add-Ons were not yet live on the Minecraft Marketplace.
Builds:

Affects currently Live Content: Yes
Impact: This bug results in significant data loss and disrupts the development workflow.
Our team, King Cube, experienced direct impacts, with 3 developers losing their work on resource and behavior packs. Although we had backups, the potential for losing extensive work and effort was high. This issue necessitates a workaround of changing pack UUIDs locally, which is not ideal and affects productivity.
Repro Steps:
1. Have existing Add-Ons in the development folders with specific UUIDs.
2. Install or update an Add-On from the Minecraft Marketplace with the same UUIDs as those in the development folders.
3. Observe the deletion of the packs in the resource and behavior packs folders.
Observed Results: The packs in the resource and behavior packs folders are deleted without any notification when an Add-On from the Minecraft Marketplace is installed or updated if the UUIDs match those in the development folders.
Expected Results: It should not delete packs in the development folders when UUIDs match or provide a warning notification about potential data loss, allowing developers to take necessary precautions.
Screenshots/Videos attached: No
Notes: . It primarily affects developers and Minecraft partners who rely on these folders for their development workflow. Our team had a backup system in place, preventing a more severe loss, but the risk of losing significant development work without such measures is high.
