Summary:
Custom blocks are rendered incorrectly in the inventory
Impact:
Players might find it strange that blocks look broken or corrupted when dropped or when viewed in the inventory. For our studio, it is affecting release date and is preventing us to properly release our pack.
Repro Steps:
1. Launch Minecraft and open the Marketplace
2. Search for affected Add-Ons (e.g., Decocraft)
3. Purchase and download the pack
4. Apply the Add-On to a world and enter the world
5. Open the inventory and notice the broken icons
Observed Issues:
Icons are rendered broken in the inventory and when dropped, but the items themselves function as intended (e.g., can be placed and used, when applicable).
Expected Behavior:
The icons render normally when in the inventory and dropped.
Additional Notes:
We have our own pack that is affected with this change. But due to NDA, we are using the "Decocraft" pack as an example instead of our own pack, over which I cannot disclose. But either of the packs more or less pertains to the issue at hand – developers have changed how tiles are rendered.
