1. Summary

• When purchasing some skin packs, the skins are selectable via the Marketplace itself, but selecting skins via the Dressing Room "Edit Character" button selects a different skin on exit, and an additional skin when entering the Edit Character section. Some skins cause the player texture to disappear entirely, and on exit some skins delete the character.

1. Impact

• Players are unable to select the skin they want without going through the Marketplace button to search for the skin pack, resulting in a poor customer experience and complaints.

1. Repro Steps
   • Step 1: Purchase Animal Ghosts
   • Step 2: Go to the Edit Character button in the Dressing Room
   • Step 3: Select one of the Animal Ghosts skins under owned skins, exit back to character selection screen and the skin will change.
   • Going back into the Edit Character and exiting (without selecting anything) will produce a different skin until the end of the pack when the texture is removed or the character deleted.

• The skin will keep changing through the pack until the last two skins (Turtle and Wolf). These last two produce a content log error: "Trying to add an invalid classic skin". Turtle will strip the texture entirely from the player model when exiting and entering, Wolf will delete the character. When entering to choose a new skin after the character has been deleted, the default texture will appear, but then sometimes disappear when going to the owned skins section (as seen in the attached video link).

• Unknown, this was reported to me via a player purchase after Animal Ghosts released.

1. Notes

• Initially after troubleshooting with other partners this was believed to be a packaging error, where spaces in the lang file were causing this. I have since resubmitted fixing the packaging to conform to the standard and on release the issue remains. This effects multiple packs of mine and I know other partners are also effected.

In the video, I demonstrate that selecting the Fox or the Cow via the Marketplace button works as expected, but as soon as you enter the Edit Character button in the Dressing Room the skin changes and continues to changes without selecting anything on entering and leaving the Edit Character screen. The Turtle and Wolf skins get content log errors, and once the character is deleted after selecting the Wolf skin, on re-entering the Owned Skins section the Alex skin disappears from the player model.
