Summary:
An assertion appears every time the dev build version of Minecraft developer/release version is loaded.

Verification Build:
1.17.40, 1.17.41

Regression Builds:
1.17.34

Impact:
Minor annoyance. Assertion can be closed but does halt the game until it is removed from the screen.

Repro Steps:
1. Install Minecraft dev build.
2. Assertion appears when game almost reaches menu screen
May be system related. But I did not experience this prior to 1.17.40

An assertion appears.
