Impact:
This is a major vanilla bug that is effecting vanilla gameplay in the base game and effecting players survival experience.
This also has a major effect on the vanilla economy as it is changing how much coal is required to be smelting ores and thus effecting the base survival experience.
We have a upcoming map that is utilizing vanilla gameplay and because of this bug it is effecting the maps experience and is causing it to be unplayable.
Repro Steps:
1. Open a fresh minecraft world on bedrock
2. Give and place a furnace.
3. Give yourself 2 coal and iron ore
4. Place one iron ore and the 2 coal into the furnace.
Observed Results:
It will take 2 coal to cook just one iron ore in the furnace
Expected Results:
It should be able to cook 8 pieces of iron ore with only one coal.
