The first person perspective is rendered backwards compared to third person.

Partner Rank:
3

Summary:
The first person perspective is rendered backwards compared to third person. This causes a visibility bug within TerraSwoopForce, but affects all content.

Verification builds and Platforms:
1.16.220.51 #5599922

Impact:
This prevents players from being able to see when wearing the suit in TerraSwoopForce. This will potentially also affect all attachables, particles and other content seen in first person connected to the player.

Repro Steps:
Download and play TerraSwoopforce on the R5 release
Open the world and type the following “/replaceitem entity @s slot.armor.head 0 noxcrew:tsf.suit_red”
Change to third person and observe how the suit renders in third person, with special note to the texture behind the head
Change to first person and observe the back texture covering the screen, obscuring the player’s vision

Observed Results:
The game rotates the attachment geo 180 degrees from the first person perspective. The player sees the back of the helmet blocking their view making the game unplayable.

Expected Results:
The suit will render the side direction as seen in third person, allowing the player to see out the visor

Screenshots/Videos attached:
Yes

Regression Builds:
1.16.210.05_rc4 for attachables, however it’s very much likely always existed

Notes:
This bug has been in the game for a long time, maybe since the beginning of the engine's development. We noticed it during the development of Ninjas of Zombie City. The issue I foresee is this might make all attachables having to be manually flipped by creators when used for custom content. This will add a lot of pain points, and even limitations.

This related to the bug "First person camera view is blocked by helmet on Terra Swoop Force" as if this bug was fixed, the bug would be resolved to.

Unresolved
