Summary:

Real Money purchase option fails to grant (receipt) entitlement on Featured Servers

Impact:

This causes players to not receive their paid server offers, resulting in them feeling scammed, and increases load on the customer support offered by Featured Servers.

Repro Steps:

Please note repro rate is not 100%

1. Join a Featured Server, e.g. Hive Games
2. Purchase a Durable Server Offer, e.g. Hive+ Rank or any Costume using the Real Money option (NOT the Minecoin option)

Observed Results:

The client claims the offer is bought, but the server doesn't receive the receipt, and the offer contents aren't granted on-server. The players Minecoin is updated with the 'left over' amount.

Expected Results:

The player gets the offers content granted on-server.

It may be assumed this is a server receipt processing bug, however, you can confirm this is not the case by purchasing an offer directly with Minecoins, rather than the 'real money' option.

Furthermore, whilst Minecoin purchases sometimes don't generate a receipt immediately, this can often be resolved by either a server rejoin or redeeming a free server offer (such as running /fixpurchase on the Hive server). However, with this bug, the receipt is never generated.

We have many examples of players that were affected by this issue. If needed, we can supply xuid's of affected accounts. For privacy reasons these are not included in this report.
