Summary:
Movement of entities via teleportation now appears to be much choppier than before
Impact:
Makes it difficult to achieve precise and smooth-looking entity movement. Now it's very obvious whenever an entity is being teleported.
An upcoming map of ours uses teleportation to gradually move two critical types of entities the player has to time their actions with, and it also makes the cutscenes in it look unprofessional and unpolished.
Repro Steps:
- Open the provided world
- Head to the white-floored chunk with cobblestone walls
- Look at the armor stand moving around the chunk
Expected:
The movement is smooth; at least when going in a straight line.
Observed:
The movement is very noticeably choppy; and you may even see the armor stand occasionally move backwards for a frame or two.
