Summary:
Teleporting entities from near the player to a far away place, then teleporting it back near the player will make that entity disappear from the client, until the chunk or world is reloaded.
Impact:
Ninja Parkour: The hint giver entity disappears when right-clicking it until relogging or coming back to it.
Hardcore Island: The stones spawned in front of the leak puzzle are invisible.
Unreleased map: Nearly all the NPCs hop between the world and the ticking area at different times, making them invisible and not interactable when they do, until relogging.
Repro Steps:
- Open the provided world
- Head to the blue-floored chunk with a creeper in a fence and 3 buttons
- Press the button to teleport the creeper away (into a ticking area)
- Press the button to teleport the creeper back
Expected:
The creeper should return to the pen near the buttons.
Observed:
The creeper does not visibly return to the original pen.
If you teleport to where it was first teleported to, it's not there either.
Only when you teleport back to the original pen, will it appear again
