Unable to give any new mob unique spawn egg textures

Partner Reporting:
Noxcrew

Partner Rank:
3

Summary:

The new mob egg textures are inconsistent and do not have it’s own spawn egg files such as "egg_zoglin.png". The vanilla files refer to colour codes rather than pointing to a file, unlike all other mobs within the game.

Verification builds and Platforms:

1.16.63.0 UAP.Release #4160143

Regression Builds:

Since inception (R16)

Impact:

This prevents the ability for texture packs to customise the spawn eggs to be unique which is causing the textures to be inconsistent within the live content Tiny Footprints. It will affect any other texture packs too; as it is considered blocking by content review during updates.

Repro Steps:

Open up the entity.json file for any mob added in R16
Observe the use of colour codes rather than item for the spawn egg
Open up other entity.json files for other mobs
Observe them using an item for the spawn egg
Navigate to the textures/items folder
Observe all other mobs have a spawn egg, beside the new mobs

Observed Results:

The game uses colour codes for the spawn egg, unlike other mobs within the base game

Expected Results:

All mobs follow convention and are consistent with all other entities, by using a unique spawn egg png. Etc, egg_hoglin.png, egg_pigling.png, egg_strider.png, egg_zoglin.png

Screenshots/Videos attached:

Yes

Notes:
Although the base spawn eggs textures allow for creators to have a custom generic pattern (see attached image), this is limiting and inconsistent with all other eggs. Previous similar spawn egg issues were fixed.
