Verification builds and Platforms:
Beta 1.16.0.63
Summary:
tag command break in the validator when they contain numbers. For example, "/tag @s add 3hdoor" will no longer work.
Impact:
We frequently use numbers in tags as it's an easy accurate way to convey numerical information. Tagging is a key thing many partners do to contain data and trasmit information from commands to behavior packs using the tag filters. This not working is detrimental to maps including completely breaking Rescue Mission Lava Town.
If this is an intentional change, we feel this should be protected by backwards compatibility so purchasers don't have to restart their worlds to have them continue working as they expect.
This should narrow down that it's only numbers STARTING the tag, or tag names which are entirely numbers, which have broken.
Repro Steps:
- Download Rescue Mission Lava Town from the marketplace
- Open the map
- Note the content log spamming all the broken tags
- do
tag @s add 8
Observed Results:
unable to tag things with a number at the start
Expected Results: the tag be applied correctly
