Summary:
The minecraft:knockback_roar behavior doesn't push the player vertically anymore.
Impact:
This completely breaks the grappling hook mechanic in Ninja Mash-up (the hook of one of the marketplace top earners), and we'd have to take it down if R16 releases with this bug.
We also heavily rely on this component for many more maps of ours. Particularly, for 3 more maps of ours that are in the process of being submitted (names in slack), one of which has the entire point of the map revolving around using the knockback roar on the player, and has already finished development.
This only appears to affect the player; the knockback roar seems to knock other mobs just fine.
Repro Steps:
- Open a fresh copy of Ninja Mash-up.
- Throw the grappling hook onto a higher block.
Observed Results:
You get pushed horizontally into the grappling hook but can never manage to ascend with it.
Expected Results:
You should be pushed up in the direction of the grappling hook.
