Impact:
When the Realms online experience is worse than the local device experience, the costumer will be disappointed. Players assume it is the content which is causing the issue with performance, when it is actually Realms itself. This causes low star review ratings for our products, and has led to refund requests as well. Likely, were the source of the issue known, it would cause players to cancel Realms subscriptions.
Repro Steps:
1. Buy `Millionaire Mansions 2` from the Store
2. Use the template then upload the world to Realms. (Repeat multiple times if necessary to create the world successfully with the Resource and Behavior packs applied)
3. Enter the Realm. If possible, have a second player connect to the Realm. This will cause a more immediate performance dip.
4. When you enter the Realm, run the following commands, or walk through the tutorial until arrive at the external road.
/tp 1828 35 2177 /tp 1782 40 2201
5. Spawn a car or run the command
/summon noxcrew:mm.super_car
6. Drive around the town
7. Spawn a ball
/summon noxcrew:mm.volleyball
8. Hit the ball
Observed Results:
Ball entities are stuttering when moving. Cars stutter and are incredibly difficult to handle when moving around.
Expected Results:
Entities should perform with the same level of smoothness and quality expected on a normal device. You should expect smooth movement from the ball entities, and the cars should be easy to handle (albeit quite fast). The Realms experience should not ever be slower than what the device connecting to it would experience in a single player world (given stable internet of course).
