Each time I open the game in a version that isn't 1.13 or higher instead of the game it shows me a black screen

Each time I open the game on a version that isn't 1.13 or higher it shows me a black screen instead of the game and after a coup[le of seconds exits that tab of the game which is highly annoying because the server I usually play on is on 1.12-1.12.2 so now it's impossible to play on it
