Launcher not responding after i click on 'PLAY'

i apologise for not having any attachment for launcher not responding. I have redownloaded minecraft several times and also tried downloading the java. Both does not work, i really really hope you guys are able to fix this problem as soon as possible. Been a huge fan of minecraft for many years. I am desperate to play the latest release.
