Game Freezes After Opening

ᅠWhen I open up MC, (after clicking "play" on the launcher) the game opens but it freezes then crashes. Every time this happens, I uninstall MC and re-install it. It then works for an hour, then crashes again. It repeats on and on. I don't know if the update I use (1.8.9) has anything to do with it. Pls help!
