Minecraft doesn't work.

Whenever I press on "PLAY" an error message shows up: Unable to create directory. If I press on "show more details", this shows up:

Error details: The system cannot find the path specified
Filename on disk: .minecraft
Path: E:/Users\Simon\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Exists: false

I'm really not sure what to do and I hope someone can help me.
