Clicking on minecraft icon on dock when it's minimised/open creates another window

I click on the minecraft icon on the dock when it's open or minimised

What I expected was

It brings up the minimised minecraft launcher window

What actually happened was

It created another window of the launcher

 

The easiest way to reproduce this bug is to keep clicking the minecraft icon when it's on the dock.
